Artist Statement My work is about intuition, and the spontaneous process itself. Each piece of art I create is a signature, a reflection of my own personality and life experience. I deal with several bodies of work concurrently. This way all of my work informs or cross pollinates with each other. Inspiration in my work comes from a myriad of sources; it could be the spontaneous patterns and forms that I see in the natural world, the visual chance meeting they make with man-made architecture or the auditory information I receive and how my brain processes it. The blending of imagery with my everyday life, travels, adventures, dreams, and views through my studio window, guides my ability to pull the fragments together into a new form. In turn the artwork I then create will form new responses in the eye of the observer, who each bring their own experiences giving the final Art, an underlining life of its own.I am a printmaker as well as a painter. My approach to printmaking is open-minded, somewhat unorthodox manner. Often breaking from traditional methods of making prints, I often fusing different material and borrow from a wide variety of media. This leads to a host of exciting possibilities that may or may not fit into the world of printmaking. This exploitation of the techniques proves an exciting means of self-expression. If images end up being something other than a print, so be it.
