Artist Statement ARTISTIC STATEMENT"Color, color everywhere!"
The opportunity to express myself through painting is an important part of my life. Through my painting, I have found a peace and confidence that I was missing.
The encouragement that my dear family, friends and fellow artists have given to me helps me to challenge myself and continue to develop as an artist.

Biography Elaine A. Cummings
Attended Rhode Island School of Design, was a free lance illustrator for clothing catalogues, ran a children's art school, the Red House Art Camp; designed and sold greeting cards under the name of Black Dog Designs, and designed and sold polymer jewelry and ornaments as owner of From the Heart. Started painting in 2004 under the tutelage of F. Brackley Tolman at Sharon Arts Center and Nelson, NH.
